According to this article on the DailyTech, a survey showed that, on top of the 42% of the respondents that were interested in hybrids, 65% were willing to pay a 12% premium over a normal vehicle for a plug-in hybrid.

Considering that the economy is still in a slow recovery pace, that is an extremely high number. Add to that the naysayers that are always pointing out to the extra cost of alternative solutions, it give us some hope that we might be going in a better direction.

Now if only manufacturers can deliver that reality soon...
